12 FL OZ bottle
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and has a scant mocha head.
The smell is amazing. The bourbon barrel character comes through nicely. I get caramel and vanilla from it. The coffee and cinnamon add to the amazing aroma.
The taste is equally amazing. I get caramel, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, hazelnut, cinnamon, and hints of alcohol.
Full bodied with a velvety smooth mouthfeel
I am usually not a fan of cinnamon in my beer. With everything going on in this beer the cinnamon is only a minor distraction from all the great flavors. Listermann really hits some home runs with there barrel aged offerings.

Matte black with a dense tan foam head.
Sweet hazelnut wafers and licorice make up the majority of the slick, sticky yet silky body, accented by a touch of bourbon.

Bourbon barrel aged imperial dark ale collaboration with Destihl Brewery. Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Triple Digit tulip. Pours out dark brown and really thick with little carbonation. Looks like chocolate syrup. The nose has some heavy aromas of toasted malt, brown sugar, and molasses. It smells like brownies.
Full body with a heavy feel and an extremely rich, malty flavor. Tons of molasses, toffee, and brown sugar up front as well as a hint of cocoa. At mid-palate, some of those barrel notes creep in, but don't overpower. They contribute toasted nuts and vanilla notes to the profile. Right on the finish, there is a slight note of dark plum-like fruit and just a tiny bit of roastiness. The maltiness still lingers on the finish along with some toasted oak.
I didn't know what to expect from this beer so it was a wonderful surprise. It tastes like concentrated Celebrator dopplebock. That's the best way to describe it. The barrel-aging was very well done. The beer isn't the least bit boozy and there is no trace of oxidation. Delicious, but so rich I don't think I could handle very much of it.
