16 ounce can, no dating I was able to find on it. Another brew from Brutaltruth, thanks! Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, coffee, roasted malt and some cream. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt, dark bread and chocolate flavors noticeable. Does lean sweeter tasting with the vanilla/cream standing out and then the coffee. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy, a bit coating and has a good amount of soft carbonation. I liked this one, wouldn't mind trying it again sometime!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid stout pours a blackish brown
with a fantastic head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thick clumping
layer, and sports some excellent lacing. Nose of coffee, cream, vanilla, moderate
char, and deep roasted goodness. Flavors hit the mark with dark coffee, char,
deep roast, cream, vanilla, and dark berry nuances of black and blueberry.
Mouth feel is medium full, light carbonation, smooth, and a bitter malt
finish that is subtly dry.

Overall a solid stout.

Cheers

A - Pours out basically opaque, an inky darkness of black with red and brown highlights. A tan head fades to a thick cap. Curtains of tight bubble lacing.

S - Bright chocolatey malts, a bit of spice, and just a hint of roasty toastiness.

T - Follows the nose, delivering cocoa on the front, some mild acidity, flowing to a bread aspect in the middle, and a more bitter snap in the finish, quickly fading to a lingering bittersweet chocolate notes that trails off eventually.

M - Moderate weight through the open, decent carbonation, with a slightly watery finish.

O - Feels a little off, but the bones of a very good beer are there. Quite tasty, and definitely drinkable.

16oz can, served in a tulip stout glass. Stout brewed with coffee, vanilla, and lactose, with a M4A3e8 Sherman on the label.

Appearance: Black, letting very little light through except at the edges, where it's a dark cola brown. Thin tan head that died back with some occasional islands of lacing.

Smell: Quite sweet - chocolate & coffee (mocha) notes, with some vanilla as well. Some burnt brown sugar as well.

Taste: Tastes a lot like it smells, with a little bit of some mild bitterness at the finish, otherwise mocha and vanilla again.

Mouthfeel: Light carbonation, nice thickness, and a bit of a dry finish when first poured, but later a bit sticky on the teeth.

Overall / Drinkability: For a beer named after the WWII campaign to take back Kwajalien and Eniwetok which was not light fighting, this is a very sweet stout. This went well with a burger and fries (sort of like a chocolate shake on the side) although it clashed a bit with BBQ sauce. Would definitely go well with dessert, and I wouldn't mind a bit more. Easy to drink.

Not sure what I could say for this one pretty badass cover art for the label. Colors of deep dark black goodness was just a nice quarter quarter inch of froth settling to a nice lace. Smells of mocha and lactose vanilla with an excellent flavor of vanilla lactose sugar coffee. Body is excellent on par most definitely my recent best take on the style.
