New England IPA brewed with El Dorado, El Dorado, and more El Dorado. Poured from a 16oz can onto a Listermann's pub glass. The pour is golden-orange in color, slightly hazy, and sports about a finger of fine white foam. On the nose I get fresh pineapples, sweet oranges, and fresh bread.
Medium body with a bittersweet fruity flavor and an oily feel. Fresh bread, pineapple, and little bit of marmalade up front. No real change in the profile as it moves across your palate, just more of the same. The flavors are milder than one would expect from a beer like this and tend to die out a bit towards the back of the palate. The finish has a mild quinine-like bitterness that lingers briefly. The beer seems a little undercarbonated, which may hinder the flavor somewhat as the bubbles tend to stimulate my palate. Far from the best NE IPA from Listermann. Not bad, but nowhere near what this brewery is capable of.
