This beer pours extremely dark brown. Faint deep red highlights are barely visible one held to the light. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is coffee and hazelnut. It smells sweet, but I think that is more from the hazelnut than the birthday cake aspect.
It tastes like a hazelnut iced coffee. It is fairly sweet like a dessert beer.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
This is an excellent beer as are pretty much all variants of Chickow!
