From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This pastry stout
pours a pitch black with a decent head of light tan foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin layer, and displays some decent lacing. Nose of chocolate,
coffee, and cherries with a touch of vanilla and definite coconut. Flavors follow
and lightly exceed the nose with a cherry pie filling flavor dashed with coconut
and given a quick bitter dose of coffee and bakers chocolate. Decent mouth
feel; full slick body, light carbonation, and a rich cherry and chocolate finish.
Overall a solid brew from a great brewery.
