Bought a can based off the name. Probably the best part of the beer. Cloudy dark orange, light head and lacing. Smell is strong orange and pineapple notes. Taste doesn’t deliver on the promise of the smell. A bit of citrus with a bitter dank hop aftertaste with a malty undercurrent, and those second parts of the description make it seem less like a true NEIPA in some ways. Medium bodied, a bit of thickness, creamy. I’m not sure NEIPAS should ever be this low in ABV. Good, but seems like a gimmick with the name and can art.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy whitish yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of pineapples are present in the nose along with notes of stone fruit.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of pineapple and lime along with notes of stone fruit. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the aromas and flavors of pineapples in this IPA.

Released 5/28/20; drank 6/12/20 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange/yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy white head; strong, frothy lace.

Orange peel & oat notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Orange peel & baking soda flavors up front; oats & dry grass notes in the nose.

This was a bit abrasive, especially for the NE IPA style advertised on the can; it was drinkable, but I've had my last.
