Collaboration beer brewed with Bhramari Brewing (Asheville, NC). Pastry stout brewed with chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and coffee and aged in rye barrels. Served in a small snifter and tasted at the bottle release at the brewery and reviewed from notes. The pour is very, very dark (nearly black) with a thin layer of fine brown foam. The nose is noticeably different than Bushwacker Rye. There is still vanilla, but the caramel is very evident and there is not as much cocoa. Very full body with a creamy feel and a rich flavor. The flavor much sweeter than Bushwacker Rye. There is a good deal of caramel flavor that goes along with the cocoa, vanilla, and toasted oak. Of the four, this one seemed like it needed more coffee the most. I didn't think it was quite as drinkable as Bushwacker Rye.
