Imperial New England IPA brewed with Citra, El Dorado, Mosaic, and Skyrocket hops. Poured from a can into a small Taft's tulip. Appearance is quite hazy and dark apricot in color with 2 fingers of fine white foam. Good retention. The nose has a nice combination of dank notes and ripe tropical fruit. I get aromas of peaches, pineapples, and grapefruit along with a little pine and cedar.
Medium full body with an oily feel. On the palate it seems less like a New England IPA and more like your traditional midwest imperial IPA. Up front there is a fair amount of bready sweetness along with flavors of marmalade and lemon curd. When the hops kick up around mid-palate, the flavors develop into waves of fresh grapefruit and over-ripe peaches. Lots of dank, hashy flavors on the palate as well.
