Imperial Brown Ale brewed with graham crackers, cinammon, allspice, cold brew coffee, chocolate, and vanilla. Served on tap at the brewery. The pour is dark brown, clear, and allows some light to escape through. The nose is impressive. I get lots of toffee, vanilla, graham, milk chocolate, and a little coffee (DISCLAIMER: I am fighting a cold so there may be some things I'm getting weak or not at all).
Full body with an amazing balanced flavor. Lots of sweet, bready toasted malt and lots of spice to support it - primarily the cinammon and allspice - but not so much that the beer tastes too spicey. All the flavors just seem to intermingle well. Not as much coffee as I expected, but the coffee does seem to come forward as the beer warms. Knowing the brewer's beers, I also expected the beer to be sweeter and was pleasantly surprised to find it as well-balanced as it is. No trace of alcohol heat on this one, despite the high abv. Really excellent.
