Moderately aggressive pour resulted in enough head to require some slurping from the top of the teku to avoid a spill. Too much yogurty lactose on the nose, obscuring much of the cocoa and vanilla that is more readily apparent on the palate. Tasty, but I'll have trouble with the full 12-oz bottle; perhaps this is just further confirmation that pastry stouts aren't really my thing.

Appearance - The beer poured a deep black color with a mocha colored colored head.
Smell - The beer had a light cocoa nose. It has not the rich chocolate I was expecting.
Taste - this was very chocolatey. Sweet Baker’s chocolate lead the way, it was not syrupy are cloying. The profile was pretty consistent throughout with a nice chocolate finish.
Mouthfeel - The carbonation was relatively low with a fairly thick body.
Overall - It needs to be said that while Listermann makes theIr brownies with love, there are no extra dank ingredients.

Dark black body. Thick dark chocolate fudge, smooth vanilla and milk chocolate. Mild roast. Full bodied, appropriate carbonation, balanced- sweet, no doubt, but smoothed out by the cocoa and roast. No booziness on this 12% banger. Chocolate cake finish.

Pitch black body, finger of brown foam, brown tinting on edges. Milk chocolate fudge, vanilla, chocolate cake and with accenting subtle roasted malt nose. Taste is more cakey than brownie batter for me, plenty of chocolate fudge, vanilla and general sugar lift up the finish. Cakey and somewhat percolated despite no coffee in the feel, starts heavy but gets lighter through the sip. No sign of the abv to be found

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip. This is a collaboration with Phase Three Brewing.
Appearance: totally black with a finger of compact brown foam atop. Looks great!
Smell: extremely malty with a little bit of roast and some toffee. Sweet with a very raw-malt aroma; I like it, but it lacks finesse.
Taste: the flavor tracks with the aroma. There is a bit of caramel and dark fruit complexity here, and comparatively little roast. But man oh man is it malty; I've tasted a lot of unfermented raw malt in my time, and that there is what this tastes like. It's not bad, but it's ... a lot.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good level of carbonation and a very smooth, delightful creaminess.
Overall: this beer is not objectively bad, but boy howdy, it is too damn sweet for me. I think it's too damn sweet for the style; it is sweeter than almost any other pastry stout I've had and tastes nearly unfermented.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short tan colored head that left a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark malts and brownies are present in the nose along with hints of licorice.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of brownies with hints of licorice and slight bits of sweetness.
M: It feels full-bodied and a little slick on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is packed with lots of aromas and flavors of brownies but isn't overly sweet. The body is heavy but it is hardly alcoholic.
