Look - black thick nice tan head fantastic rimming and nice lacing

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This solid imperial pours a
dark coal black with a faint head of light brown foam that settles
to a thin ring. Nose of bourbon, brandy, wine cask, oak, vanilla, dark coffee,
dark chocolate, dark fruits, and brulee. Flavors follow the nose nicely with
dark coffee, dark sweet chocolate, brandy, vinous red wine barrel touches,
oak, earthy malt touches, toffee, rum, vanilla, bourbon, and dark fruit
notes of black, blue, and raspberry dashed with currants. Nice mouth
feel; full body, smooth, rich, coating, faint carbonation, warming, and
finishing full and warm with bitter sweet malt notes.
Overall, a SOLID brew from a great little brewery!

XII signifies Listermann's late annual release of 2020. XI was one of my favorites last year and this version did not disappoint. It is rich, chewy bourbon and similar to BCBS without the dark fruits.
