12 oz bottle, poured into a Speigelau stout glass at ~40 degrees F and allowed to warm during consumption.
L: Pours inky opaque black, which fits, because stout. Formed just over two fingers of dark khaki head with great retention. Tight bubbled, solid lacing.
S: Heavy and bready, with a creaminess and a sweetness that has more than a little molasses tinge to it. Some of the vanilla is also evident.
T: Cold, this opens with a heavy blast of black bread, and stone fruits, with vanilla and lactose sweetness bludgeoning their way through as well. A heavy metallic tinge rolls through by the finish and lingers in the aftertaste. As it warms, some faint maple notes emerge, though the breadiness, stone fruit, vanilla, and lactose remain no less prominent. The metallic tinge remains as well, so I don't know if I just got hold of an oddly oxidized bottle.
F: Thick and full-bodied, sticky and clingy.
O: While tasty, I wouldn't classify this as either my favorite pastry stout, or even my favorite pastry stout done by Listermann.

Elevegorgon is the spin off of the beloved Eleven. It is focused on dark candi syrup that has a good hit of bitterness. It reminds me of eating a Belgian waffle without the syrup. Eleven still reigns supreme but this was a good twist.
