One of the better breweries at marketing their brews – the label on this 12 oz. bottle is brilliant.
Pour: dark. Head: persistent. Nose: sweeeeet.
I Hated Listermann Before It Was Cool is even sweeter than the label suggests. Yowza. Vanilla, malts, white sugar, brown sugar, slight chocolate, & a feathery sugary softness that must be the angel food cake. Amazingly, no booze at all. Big, thick, filling. I should have split this with my wife.
Not much going on here, just a whole lot of sugar overdose. Mediocre.

Pours dark brown with a smallish head that leaves lacing. Aroma is chocolate, sweet and rich, vanilla and a hint of biscuit. Taste is overwhelmingly chocolate, with a twinge of vanilla. The profile is bright, sweet with little carbonation and little to no hint of the 14% ABV. Quite a tasty and pleasant pastry!

crazy name for a beer - can't say i agree , had listermann's beers for the past 3 years and all have been great this is one of my top beers to enjoy sweet stout

12oz bottle from Tavour. Black pour with wispy tan head. Aroma is sweet, roasty, chocolate, fudge. Taste is rich chocolate and fudge, notes of vanilla, minor sweetness, a touch of bitterness. Very rich and chocolaty.

Look - Really nice looking black Stout with a great tan head and lacing with rimming
Smell - Nice chocolate vanilla smell with a slight cake
Taste - Taste like devils food cake with a slight canilla frosting
Feel - Medium full body with a slight carb
OVerall - could use more body but still pretty good
