12oz bottle from Tavour. Dark brown pour, wispy beige head. Sweet aroma of chocolate and raspberries. Raspberries are more pronounced in the taste, chocolaty notes, sweetness. Peanut butter crops up in the background and lactose brings sweetness and a silky feel. Creamy and latent warmth.

Dark body with a thin but lasting head. Big roasted and charred grain and coffee smell; peanut brittle. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; sweet raspberry and white chocolate start slowly yet finish strong; some quiet vanilla tones; boozy bitterness at the finish. Relatively heavy body; smooth and glassy; strong alcohol heat and bite; generally sweet mouthfeel.

Not bad for a beer shipper / brewer collaboration. The raspberry does a nice job of cutting back the sharp, bitter malt and mocha presence. The white chocolate adds another welcomed layer of complexity.

Pouring temperature: 53 °F; bottling data: unknown

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a pitch-black color with a tiny head of brown colored foam. The head fades very fast leaving a tiny bit of streaky lace on the sides of the glass. Upon swirling the brew in the glass, the viscosity of the brew can be sensed, with sticky fingers of beer clinging to the sides of the vessel and slowly working their way back to the bottom of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is massive of a raspberry aroma mixed with smells of roasted malt, peanut butter, and sweet smells of caramel, brown sugar, and toffee. Along with these aromas comes notes of white and milk chocolate as well as some and crème and vanilla. Other aromas of a dark fruit nature (cherry/plum) as well as notes of char and alcohol are there as well, mixing with the rest to give a nice inviting and warming smell overall.
Taste – The taste follows the nose rather well. Right from the start a huge roasted malt and raspberry flavor mixed with some milk and white chocolate flavors. Accompanying these tastes, is some big sweetness of brown sugar, molasses, raisin, cherry, and a bit of toffee. At the same time a peanut butter flavor is present as well, getting quite a bit stronger over time. With the peanut butter getting stronger, so to do flavors of crème and vanilla as well as some tastes of coffee and wood. Toward the end, the booziness in the nose can be well appreciated, warming the tongue, and mixing with the rest of the flavors to leave a big warming and sweet taste.
Mouthfeel – As may have been expected from the look, the brew is super thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the style and abv. the feel is great and makes this one a nice slow dessert sipper.
Overall –A pretty intense brew with tons of sweetness and a big ol’ wallop of raspberry and lots of peanut butter. A sorta odd combination, but in the end still not to shabby. Wouldn’t want to drink many of these, but certainly was fun to try.

Raspberry flavor was immediate and dominate but all the other flavors did come thru- peanut butter and chocolate mocha. 14% abv but the alcohol did not interfere with all the different flavors

Scoring Discrepancies was one of those gateway beers for me. I remember trying the original base down in Cincinnati and have been a huge fan since. Any variant that comes out, I’m on it. This was a white chocolate mocha collab through Tavour, a beer ordering delivery app. The base peanut butter/jelly still holds strong and is topped with toasted white chocolate. The result is a smoother, sweeter version of SD. I’m always glad when they bring this one back.

The pour is lightly black with a thin head. Aroma is deeply complex with raspberries dominant, some peanut butter and chocolate present. Taste is even more complex as these are flavors not easily defined with the first or second sip. There is a strong raspberry profile, strong peanut butter and sweet chocolate. This is smooth and glides off the tongue. The alcohol is well subdued, yet warming. A very solid offering from a master brewery. Not to be missed.
