Cranium, to me, is Listermann’s year round barrel aged stout line. They also have the Chickow! Series that features an aged brown ale. Cranium isn’t always available but it does pop up frequently throughout the year. This version is all about maple and bacon. The maple sweetness is achieved and somehow the bacon is actually prevalent. You get the sensation of bacon or maybe liquid smoke throughout the experience; I haven’t tried anything like this before. The beer is thin and the body is low. If you are looking for bacon with your beer, this is the gateway.

Look - really nice thick blackness with a great head and lacing
Smell - Lots of maple, booze, and some barrel with a slight smoke scent
Taste - maple smoke booziness
Feel - Medium syrup with no real carb
Overall - Not really a fan
