I found this beer in a 16 oz. can at Nemo's in Forest Hills, Queens, NY, USA (the design is much prettier than in the picture above) and I have been enjoying this style a lot lately. Dated 29 Nov 2022, consumed on 1/1/23
L: Poured into a Willi, lasting delicate foam head, clear, pale straw color with light effervescence
S: Biscuity malt, light floral hop aroma; delicate, pleasant, not complex
T: As an American take on the Munich Helles style, I find it exemplary and crushable; pale malt notes of biscuits and freshly baked white bread predominate with a light to medium-light body and a subtle, balancing hop finish; if any American hops were used, I couldn't detect them
F: Here is where the American take on the style shows itself -- there is pleasantly, warming finish of alcohol to this beer that is subtle, but perceptible at 5.7%
O: Tastes like a Munich Helles, looks like one, too -- but the higher ABV gives this classic style the differentiator as an American take on a classic style; I'm not mad at the extra alcohol, and I'm delighted by the hop character being used traditionally and with the proper restraint for the style
