Served in a snifter
This beer pours very dark brown and is topped with a skim of tan head that leaves a few spots as it leaves.
I get more cognac right after I decanted. As it warms the hazelnut begins to emerge. So, I had more oak and cognac at the beginning and more chocolate as hazelnut now. A little oakiness remains.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and a little dry.
I wish more beers were aged in cognac barrels. It makes for great beer. This is excellent.
