Midnight Maple Berry

12 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I noticed but saw online this was a November 2022 release. Served inn a Jackie O's Dark Apparition chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that didn't stay around for too long. Not much lacing, either. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like dark bread and roasted malt, along with some vanilla, bourbon, maple and berries. The taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some chocolate, blueberry and a general dark berry flavor noticeable too. Label says it's fresh berries, but it tastes kinda artificial to me. Tastes sweeter than the aroma led me to believe. Wish the barrel character was stronger here. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew overall, but the artificial berry taste hurt it a bit for me. Still good though, wouldn't mind trying this again in the future if they make another batch of it. Recommended if you like sweeter tasting pastry stouts!

Look - Black syrup slight rim
Smell - boozy barrel and possibly some blueberry
Taste - blueberry maple syrup with slight barrel
Feel - full body medium light carb, syrupy
Overall - pretty tasty, pretty sweet. Basically boozy blueberry maple syrup
