From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This solid little porter pours a
blackish brown with a nice creamy head of foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin dusty layer, and displays some nice lacing. Nose of
dark fruits, char, coffee, dark chocolate, and earthy malts. Flavors
give me what I seek in an English style porter; dark chocolate mingles
with coffee, char, roast, earthy malts, and dark berry notes of black
and raspberry with a touch of cola. Mouthfeel is medium, light
carbonation, smooth, and finishing faintly chalky and with a nice
bitter malt finish.
Overall, a solid little brew that I will agree with Brother Bluejacket, it is
pretty darn close to a dry Irish stout!
Cheers

12 ounce bottle, August 18, 2018 printed on the label, pretty sure Brutaltruth gave this to me but I could be wrong. Served in an Ohio Pint Day 2022 pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, and some earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some smokiness, nutty and roasted malt flavors too. Kinda reminds me of an Irish Dry Stout somewhat. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. A decent enough brew, wish I would have tried this one fresher though but that's my fault since I had it a while.
