12 ounce bottle, no dating on the bottle or label that I noticed. Big thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours a dark brown color with some reddish tinges, and not quite an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like toffee, caramel, figs, bourbon, oak and a bit of bourbon. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some nutty and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Barrel character is kinda light overall, but it's there. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating and syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this one was good, wish the barrel had more of a kick here but it's a brew that's worth trying if you get the chance.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This solid little barley wine
pours a murky brown with light tea highlights and a modest head
of white foam that settles to a thin ring with decent legs. Nose of
bourbon, caramel, dates, cherry, and toffee. Flavors surpass the
nose with toffee, caramel, cherry, dates, dark breaded notes, subtle
cranberry, bourbon, oak, and light vanilla. Mouth feel is medium,
faint carbonation, smooth, moderately warming, and finishing
medium sweet and boozy on the astringent side of the spectrum.
Overall, a nice little BBA barely wine.
Cheers
