Blend of two Imperial Stouts. One was aged in a Wilderness Trail bourbon barrel, and the second was aged in Apple Brandy barrels before an additional rest in freshly-dumped Four Roses bourbon barrels.

12 ounce bottle, big thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, caramel, earthiness and coffee. I think the taste is pretty much like the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt, apple brandy, dark fruit, oak and tobacco flavors noticeable too. There's a lot going on here but no one flavor overpowers the others. Definitely leans sweeter tasting to me. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and syrupy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a great brew, would certainly like to try this one again given the chance!

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This stunner pours a jet black with a
faint head of brown foam that settles to a razor thin ring with excellent
legs. Nose of heavy bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, brandy, and
caramel sweet malts amongst the myriad of heated booze. Flavors hit the
WOW factor. Bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, char, brulee,
leather, brandy, dark berries, tobacco, subtle smoke, rum raisins, cherry....
warmth gives more and keeps going. Blackberry, blueberry, dates.....this
one is huge! Mouth feel is full, smooth, slick, coating, low carbonation, warming
but well hidden considering the booze level, and a lightly dry and sweet finish
that is muted considering the malt level in this.

Overall.....I had a taste.....and I am a believer....awesome!

Cheers
