We took our beloved Bjorn English Barleywine and aged it 16 months in Four Roses bourbon barrels. Conditioned on toasted coconut and maple syrup.

Thanks to Jeanette and Jamie for this one!
From the 500ml bottle in a snifter. This interesting little barely wine pours a
muddled dark brown with a modest head of khaki foam that sizzles to a thin ring.
Nose of astringent bourbon, vanilla, maple, figs, dates, toffee, and brown sugars.
Flavors expand on the nose with bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee, brandy nuances, rich
maple, dark raisin bread, figs, dark cherry, and subtle tobacco. Mouth feel is
medium, faint carbonation, smooth, warming, and finishing with a sweet
bourbon and maple laced finish that is subtly dry.
Overall , very interesting but could use a touch of finesse on balance of maple
to heavy bourbon heat.
Cheers
