16 ounce can - $4.25 at Listermann Brewing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Appearance: Pours a faded, opaque, yellow-orange body with a frothy, white head. Light lacing.
Smell: Hoppy aromatics smelling of papaya pulp, floral rosewater, gooseberries, tangerine-lemon-lime.
Taste: A touch of bit-o-honey sweetness with modest rustic, coarse grains with a slight oaty quality. Tropical, citrus, floral with a touch of those steely-eyed gooseberries. Minimal bitterness. Final blip of citrus, tropical tones on the light, surprisingly thinning finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied (albeit somewhat light-leaning). Medium carbonation.
Overall: Pleasant enough, decent flavors. It's the body that's the surprising part, as many of these NEIPAs can be almost gummy, medium-full with a starchy quality. This one's relatively light and nimble, for better or worse.
