Appearance: Pours a dark brown body with a surging very-high head, perhaps even worryingly so, receding to a persistent khaki froth.
Smell: Firmly nutty nose with cocoa dust, subtle caramel. Sniff of unduly toasted bread, marshmallow. Restrained, lightly tangy, discarded fruitskin fruitiness.
Taste: Malty blend of chocolaty cocoa, toasted breadcrusts, dark caramel, freeze-dried marshmallow from breakfasttime. Moderate hazelnut nuttiness. Medium-plus sweetness throughout. Lightly tangy, understated fruitiness. Sweet and warming though not boozy through the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It's alright.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a snifter.
This is a great looking beer. It is very dark brown, but has a faint red glow when held up to the light. Strong, creamy, off-white head is billowing and long-lasting. Strong chocolate aromas of brownies and cocoa powder. The flavors match, emphasizing sweet, fudge-like brownies, and also a chocolate milk impression. The body is thick, of course, but the strong, creamy carbonation lightens the impression in the mouth, and the finish is surprisingly dry. Enough hops bitterness keeps the beer from seeming cloying, despite the sweet flavors. Some alcohol is evident, but it doesn't feel like the 10% ABV.
I really enjoyed this beer. Granted, I like a big, sweet, flavorful beer more than most people, but this is an excellent one for offering amazingly rich flavors without too much sweetness.

From a 16-oz can, undated, poured into two snifters — one each for my wife and me.
Appearance: Dark brown, a half inch light tan head that dissipates slowly, light lacing.
Nose: Alcohol, hazelnut, caramel with a little chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Medium heavy — very appropriate for a beer of this horsepower.
Attack: Medium roast, low bitterness, smooth, nicely balanced. Sweetens as it warms.
Finish: Only limited hop bitterness, still very nicely balanced.
Overall: A very nice higher alcohol brown — an easy sipper and very enjoyable standalone, and not too intense to be enjoyably paired with food — we drank it with pork chops crockpotted in a mild fruit sauce. At just over refrigerator temperature, it’s a good dinner beer. As it approaches room temperature, the sweetness makes it a dessert beer. In between, a very nice standalone sipper.

Another BIF beer from the legendary @Eziel! This one intrigues me since a Brown Ale is a strange choice of a base style for the adjuncts used. I’ve seen it done both well and not so well, so we’ll have to see how this one turns out
Pours an opaque medium brown with 2 fingers of light tan head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing. A few floaties in there too
The nose on this one is sugary sweet but it works nicely. I’m picking up on aromas of sticky maple, milk chocolate, creamy vanilla, toasted hazelnut, caramel, and a touch of light roast coffee
There’s less obvious sweetness in taste, but it’s somehow more cloying, not to a super high level though. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sweet maple, dark chocolate, acidic coffee, toffee, and light vanilla. The swallow brings notes of sticky maple, fudge, sweet caramel, marshmallow, light hazelnut, and brown sugar
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in sweet yet rather dry beer. Finishes with a touch of roast for balance but absurdly drinkable for the abv
This one is definitely a bit weird but I enjoyed it overall. Nice to sip for a while

Poured at 57°. A recent IPtrade with a friend back from his visit with family in Ohio and Indiana. One finger of mostly creamy beige head with rocky bubbles; good cap retention that ultimately renders small islands of micro dots, a heavy ring and medium heavy lacing; dark brown liquid with ruby highlights; thin legs at best. Nose is chocolate, hazelnut, and light roast. Taste follows nose with a semi sweet malt base, and with distinct hazelnut. Medium light body; moderate minus carbonation; no warmth from 10% abv. Overall, there is something artificial/metallic in the finish/linger, which drops my score; otherwise, the ale looks great, has hazelnut galore as advertised, and is a very tasty nutty brown ale…but that linger…

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Daily Growler in Powell, Ohio. It poured an opaque dark amber with off white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hazelnut and maple syrup. The taste was sweeter leaning making it more a sipping beer than drinking. It had strong molasses and dark chocolate malt base with maple and hazelnut sweetness highlights.....Nutella in a glass really. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
