Beginners Luck is a Roggenbier! Hefe”RYE”zien would be a great way to simply describe this cloudy, chestnut beer with fluffy off-white foam! Fermented with the same yeast strain as our Bluffing Isn’t Weisse. You’ll notice some bubblegum and vanilla aromatics, before tasting the awesome toffee & toast malt characteristics. Toasty, toffee, spicy rye backbone, with hints of banana bread as well!

Bought in a 4-pack of 12 oz cans in Las Vegas, NV.
L - Burnished gold to copper color; hazy enough to be opaque, but holding it up to the light reveals a nice orange glow. White head dies quickly to a thin ring around the glass, but tiny streams of bubbles continuously rise.
S - Bright aromas are a mix of cracked grain, pilsner-like malt, grassy hops, spicy/peppery rye and strong yeast notes of bubblegum and cloves. Unusual and pleasant.
T - Sharp, pilsner-like grain and spicy, herbal flavors from the rye. Yeast makes a strong impression with cloves; very reminiscent of a Bavarian hefeweizen. No hops flavors stand out.
F - Thick mouthfeel, slightly silky. Low carbonation. Medium hops bitterness. Light alcohol presence.
O - This is an interesting concept to brew a roggenbier with German wheat beer yeast. Both characters stand out well and complement each other. I found it unusual but enjoyable.
