16 ounce can into a goblet. Had 4/21/20, canned within a couple weeks of that.
Pours a garnet/brown, cloudy, with a one inch foamy head with good retention and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of grapes, plums, caramel, malt, Candi syrup, light Belgian yeast, a little cola, a little banana that dissipates. Has somewhat of a spicy aroma. Flavors of caramel, Candi syrup, malt, plums, some grapes, light cherries as it warms, light Belgian yeast, less spicy than the nose. Mostly smooth, a good medium body, well carbonated.
Not quite as malty as many, but an on point example of the style. Very good aromas and flavors, very enjoyable.

Beautiful rich dark henna body, rich umber head that virtually disappears. Seriously, where is the head? Nose has mild spice and chalky yeast. Flavor is terrific, warm grape/prune malt, cinnamon and other baking spices. Possibly overdone with the spice, but for hedonists/nontraditionalists it is damn enjoyable. Rich, full body, but pretty flat (disclaimer- served from a crowler).
It's a trap all right- a flavor trap. Especially impressive coming from a young brewery, this thing is on the mark- nay, past it- with the flavor profile. Kudos.
