12oz draft pour into a snifter shows a dark colored body; granting leave to little light, and floating a thin cap of tight bubbles that flee to the edge. Agitation produces generous lacing that, again, quickly flees to the edge.
Aroma is coffee forward, specifically dark coffee and the bitterness in the flavor matches. Some fruitiness also appreciated. I don't drink coffee, but I believe coffee beans can exhibit fruitiness. I can't pick out a specific fruit, but the coffee flavor has more than just bitterness.
Mouth feel is medium, yet nearly creamy, and welcomes another sip.
Overall a fine example of the style, and I am happy to find it so close to home.

12oz can, thanks to my friend, Ken, for giving me a can to try. Dark brown body with a thin & foamy tan head. Boozy aroma with the oak very present, beer elements are dark malts, dark fruit, vanilla, and earthy hops. Ever-present oak dominates the palate with woodyness; the beer is boozy and rich with Baltic porter notes of raisin, plum, prune, chocolate, and earthy hops that are big in flavor but not bitterness. Full body, creamy and smooth, modest mly bitter finish. Overall - it's got some good flavors, I just feel that it is overly oaked.

Draft at the brewery, served in a snifter glass.
Jet black with a creamy head of slowly rising tan foam that forms a compact surface layer. Halo of delicate drippy lacing.
Aroma is roasty and smooth, nothing sharp or harsh, black roasty malt and some creamy coffee/chocolate essence.
Taste is much the same, rich and roasty with some bitter chocolate and coffee notes, zero astringency, just a full creamy body. Super smooth creamy feel, silky with a light bitterness and dry aftertaste.
This was a great beer, likely one of the best Baltic Porters i've had, and that includes Jack's Abby, Olfabrikken, etc.
Made a fine blending beer with the Movembeer variants, which were a little too raspberry tart for me.
