22 ounce bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled 4/14/16, aged 8 1/2 months in tequila barrels.
Pours a clear golden color with a bit of an orange tint to it. Big head with an average pour, lots of foamy cling. Smell is Belgian yeast, light malt, some funk, a little straw. Light agave from the barrels at first pour, more as it warms. Taste brings the yeast, more agave than than the nose, malt, some oak, still a little funk, cloves. Smooth, good body- but feels a little thin, appropriate level of carbonation.
Solid effort from IO. The tequila is fairly subtle, but the base beer blends well with it. Flavorful and enjoyable.
