16oz can
no apparent freshness date; Say it Isn’t So - I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)
This is a brewery I haven’t seen in bottle shops, and if it is in shops you need Private Eyes to find it. I finally just made the trip to the brewery, which has been a Kiss on My List for some time
L: black bodied stout with a tall & foamy light brown head - something a Rich Girl would go for
S: roasted barley, dark baker’s chocolate, oats, cherry/dark fruit - that fruitiness in a stout…You Make My Dreams (Come True)!
T: dark malts, more cherry & plum, dark chocolate, oats, caramel, roast & char, modest earthy hops. I’m glad the flavors are not Out Of Touch with this one
F: creamy and smooth body, ample carbonation, very balanced finish
O: this is a great oatmeal stout with plenty of complexity. This beer would make any Sara Smile. I’ll have to pay another visit to the brewery and stay awhile. Watch out for the girl at the brewery’s bar - she’s a Maneater.
