**Update. In addition to having a pour in May, 2017, discovered a bottle (bottled 4/27/17) tucked away and had it on 12/16/20. Held up really well.
Pours a murky golden amber, with a one and half inch foamy head with good retention and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Active carbonation. Aromas of tequila, malt, agave, some oak, toffee as it warms, light vanilla and apple. Flavors of tequila, malt, agave, oak, toffee, some lemon and vanilla, light apple. There’s still a light tartness. Smooth, a very good medium body, well carbonated.
Three and a half years has dissipated any sourness and most of the tartness, but what’s left is pretty good. Great barrels that give up a fair amount of wood, and enough of a malty base to stand up to and blend well with them. Solid effort.
