22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 1/19/18, had 1/27/18. Also had on tap.
Pours dark and opaque, with a half inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Smells great. Aromas of cognac, malt, chocolate, grapes, caramel, some oak, light wine. The taste is pretty similar- cognac, malt, some caramel and grapes, light dates, less chocolate than the nose, light alcohol. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
Certainly barrel forward, but not overwhelming. Great aroma, very good flavor, I thought this was a terrific effort from IO. Loved the cognac barrels.
