22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 8/17/17, had 9/22/17. Also had on tap on the release date of 8/26/17.
Pours a medium amber, cloudy, with a quarter inch, quickly dissipating head and spotty lacing. Aromas of bourbon, figs, caramel, dates, some vanilla, light oak and malt. The taste is similar- bourbon, more malt than the nose, caramel, dates, lighter figs, some vanilla and plums, oak. Smooth, a good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
This is certainly bourbon forward, and the Woodford barrels are the star. Great aroma, the caramel stands out in both the aroma and flavor.
