This is our Savage Oak version of Quiet Giant, our Anniversary Stout. It was aged for over 2 years in oak barrels with sherry flor. The sherry culture dried out the beer and brought it up to 18% ABV. Despite the high ABV the beer is smooth and complex, drinking much drier than a traditional Imperial Stout (more like wine or liquor) with notes of oak, dark chocolate, dark fruits, nougat and nuts.

5 oz draft pour shows a thick oily black body that almost holds a 1/8in dark cocoa colored head. With a larger pour in an appropriate glass, this would have been a 5, but I do appreciate filling the taster glass full of the elixir, because I am sure the head would not have lasted anyway.
Aroma is a boozy concoction of chocolatey goodness that demands to be tasted.
Flavor is heavenly bourbon, vanilla, oak, char, chocolate, and a hint of tobacco.
The creamy full mouthfeel is a winner for sure. This is a sipper and the tongue bathes in it till the last memory of it fades away. Smooooth.
Overall I was very happy to have experienced this.

Had on tap. Love how the bourbon and wood barrel really shine through this thick stout. Added a little to the body as well. Has a molasses and brown sugar bright finish to boot. Warm and full with the bourbon leading the malt and sweeter accents. Nice
