500 ml bottle into a tulip snifter. Released 9/2018, had 11/15/20.
Pours a golden orange color, a little cloudy, with a one inch foamy head with light specks of cling. Aromas of white wine, some yeast, honey, some pears, some caramel, spices, light malt, light oak. Like flavors- white wine, honey, pears, spices, malt, some caramel, some yeast and oak. Lightly sour and tart. Smooth, a very good light to medium body, well carbonated.
Had this on tap when released- this has aged well, and the caramel notes have developed over that period. It’s also undoubtedly less sour and tart. The pears show well, which doesn’t always happen in a beer with pears. Solid wine barrels, too. Very enjoyable.

Had on tap. Golden brown body with some white lacing on the surface and the glass. Smell and taste are almost two different beers. On the smell I get the sauvignon blanc, oak, pear, hay, barnyard funk, belgian yeast, and honey. But the taste is muddled with yeast and dry wood being the stars, with pear in the background. Funk is lost, honey is lost, and in their place is more yeast, not bad but want more given the smell especially. Feel is dry, yeasty, smooth, and sneaky boozy.
