12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 10/3/18, had 4/11/19.
Pours near black and opaque, with a half inch head of thick foam and light foamy cling. The aroma starts with lots of rum, chocolate, char, oak, vanilla, cocoa, light bourbon, malted milk balls, some roasted malt, some caramel, light molasses and figs, faint tobacco. The flavor begins with not quite as much rum as the nose, then chocolate, cocoa, malt, vanilla, some bourbon, caramel, some prunes, light tobacco. It’s a little smoky. Really smooth for the ABV, a solid full body, well carbonated.
This is a keeper. The rum barrels are pretty dominant, but delicious. Terrific aromas and flavors, while still seeming like a milk stout. Not many collaboration beers are this good.

Taste: sweet malty intense, rum, woody notes, some boozy bourbon, dark fruit cake, toasted chocolate. Same with the nose. Black/brown, mostly opaque, tan head with ring of lace. Full body. Warming with it aged in both rum and bourbon barrels.
