12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 12/14/18, had 2/14/19.
Pours a mostly opaque dark brown, with a short, quickly dissipating head and some spotty cling. Aromas of apple brandy, chocolate, malt, raisins, oak, molasses, some plums and prunes, light figs and tobacco. The flavor is pretty barrel forward, then malt, raisins, chocolate, oak, molasses, some vanilla and prunes. Smooth, a good body that is thinned by the barrels, appropriately carbonated.
The apple brandy barrels are great, but they do overwhelm the base beer flavor and body to a degree. Great aroma. At its best fully warmed. Picked up some sherry notes in both aroma and flavor, not sure if the barrels held that at one point.

Cloudy black body with a ring of tan bubbles up top. Smell is really pleasant, but surprisingly light: apple brandy, cinnamon, booziness in general, licorice and what I can best describe as lime skittle. Taste is harsher, with huge fruity booze finishing, but before a mix of toostie roll, roasted malt, and apple. Smooth for style, has some leathery textures, but the weird sweet apple brandy texture really sticks out as beer warms up. Not sure I need to have again, but enjoyed having it
