500 ml bottle into a tulip snifter. Had 7/23/19.
Pours dark brown, opaque, with a one and a half inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of malt, red wine, raspberries, chocolate, some Belgian yeast, some toffee, some oak, Brett as it warms. Smells lightly tart. The flavor is pretty tart and somewhat sour up front, then malt, raspberries, chocolate, red wine, Brett as it warms, light cherries. Smooth, a very good medium to full body, well carbonated.
The Brett and the wine barrels really transform the solid base beer, and allow the raspberries to really shine. Well balanced and blended. Very enjoyable.
