12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Released 7/27/19, had 2/17/20.
Pours an attractive orange color, cloudy, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and some soapy cling. Aromas of white grapes, wine, vanilla, spices, light yeast and malt, some apples, light oak. Has a nutty aroma. Similar flavors- wine, white grapes, vanilla, spices, malt, some almonds, some oak, light caramel and orange, a little bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a very good medium body, well carbonated.
The Cabernet barrels are the star, on top of a solid base. The vanilla- especially, and the almonds show well and are really complimentary- although the almonds showed more on tap. A well made and unique offering. Very enjoyable.
