12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 10/26/19, had 12/26/19.
Pours a dark brown, thick looking and opaque, with a quarter inch head and some foamy cling. Aromas of some bourbon, char, roasted malt, maple, blueberries, vanilla, oak. Flavors of bourbon, maple, blueberries, malt, oak, chocolate, light cocoa, a little molasses. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.
The maple/bourbon barrels and the blueberries really show well. This a step up from the straight maple/bourbon barrel version that was tap only this year.

Had on tap. Viscous black with a thick tan collar. Smell has thick roasted malt, chocolate, toasted maple, oak, tons of bourbon booze, and blueberry that is a touch sour. Taste is a boozy mess, so much bourbon booze with smoke, maple, oak, and earth, but then finishes slightly sour with the candy sweet blueberry, to the point where I worry about barrel infection. Very harsh: boozy to slightly sour in both taste and feel. Otherwise heavy, robust, and powerfully dark feeling. I have long held imperial oak in high regard but this is another recent miss
