12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 3/14/20, had 3/14/20. Also had on tap.
Pours near black and opaque with no real head and some spotty cling. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, oak, chocolate, malt, faint pecans- really more of a nutty aroma. Similar flavors- bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, oak, malt, pecan as it warms. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
The Weller barrels are incredible and they give off so much vanilla. The pecans show, but were more prominent on tap in both the aroma and flavor. While this doesn’t have an entire menu of tastes and smells that many BA stouts give up, this is an excellent beer.
