12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Released 12/31/19, had 4/7/20.
Pours a dark brown, semi opaque, with a one inch foamy head and some loose, foamy lacing. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, malt, some caramel, oak, some fudge. Flavors of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, sea salt- lingers a bit, oak, some caramel, a light herbal flavor. Smooth, a very good medium to full body, well carbonated.
The add- ins really show well, the barrels are excellent and give off lots of oak. The strong char from the barrels in the straight BA version is covered up here by the chocolate and vanilla. Had this on tap, like the can better- seemed too salty on tap. Very enjoyable.
