12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 11/20/20, had 1/1/21.

Pours a dark brown, opaque and oily looking, with no head and sparse, spotty cling. Aromas of rum, chocolate, vanilla, malt, some cocoa, light toffee, faint banana- maybe. Flavors of rum, malt, chocolate, vanilla, some caramel, a hint of banana, a light sweet note on the finish. Smooth, a good but thinner full body, appropriately carbonated.

Enjoyable. It’s a little barrel dominant, but the base is solid enough to handle it. Any banana I picked up in the aroma or flavor could be my imagination.

12oz can poured into a taster glass shows a deep, dark, maple-brown colored body and floating a chestnut brown colored cap of tight bubbles that dissipates to an edge-hugging ring.

Rum is strong with this one. Fruity rum-soaked aroma greets the nose, but the banana flavor is a bit like runts but it is subtle.

Smooth mouthfeel, as expected with an oatmeal stout, and a nice chest warmth.
Overall, I prefer the base BA version of this years Movembeer fundraiser.
