12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 3/12/21, had 4/8/21.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a quarter inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of whiskey, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, malted milk balls. The chocolate takes the lead in the flavor, then whiskey, coffee, malt, some oak, some vanilla- more as it warms. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.
The chocolate (especially) and the coffee really stand out. The barrels are still great, but not as prominent because of the chocolate and coffee. Found that this seemed to have less vanilla than the straight BA version, even though it’s added here, which seems novel. Very enjoyable.
