12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Released 1/22/21, had 2/4/21.
Pours a mostly opaque dark brown, with a one inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, coconut, light bourbon as it warms, malt, some marshmallows and cocoa. Flavors of chocolate, coconut, bourbon- much more than the nose, malt, vanilla, some cocoa, light oak. Smooth, a very good medium to full body, well carbonated.
The add- ins show really well, especially the chocolate and vanilla. But, all those great additions keep the barrels from shining quite as well as they do in the straight BA version. We’ll call it a tie between the two and nobody loses. Very enjoyable.
