12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 6/1/21, had 2/13/22.
Pours near black and opaque, with a half inch head of creamy foam and light foamy lacing. Aromas of rye whiskey, roasted malt, chocolate, some vanilla, light oak and char. Has a general berry aroma that leans towards blackberry. Flavors of rye whiskey, raspberry, malt, chocolate, blackberry, light oak, some tartness- mostly as it warms. Has a spicy taste. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
The barrels and base are great, the berries are more a compliment than centerpiece but are impactful. Like the blend of spice, fruit and tart. Really enjoyable.
