12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 11/24/21, had 5/10/22.
Pours an orange brown, a little cloudy, with a quarter inch foamy head and no lacing. Aromas of rye whiskey, caramel, malt, vanilla, light figs and oak. Has a little bit of a spicy aroma. Flavors of rye whiskey, caramel, vanilla, malt. Smooth, a lighter medium body, appropriately carbonated on the low side.
The barrels star, the base is lighter for the style, but it works well enough. The aroma is the strong point for this one. Enjoyable.

2021 release
12oz can poured into a taster glass shows a translucent bronze headless body that leaves the glass clean behind.
Aromas of toffee and whiskey dominate and the flavor matches with notes of dried fruit, caramel, and oak.
A medium mouthfeel has a sense of chew to it and almost stickiness.
Overall, I prefer this over the Ex Islay Scotch version from 2020.
