12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 3/11/22, had 5/4/22.
Pours near black and opaque, with a half inch head of darker foam and light, foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, light cognac, malt, vanilla, light maple, chocolate, light raisins and oak. Flavors of bourbon, more cognac than the nose, vanilla, some maple, malt, chocolate, light raisins and a little oak. Smooth, a very good lighter full body, a little creamy, appropriately carbonated.
Really good. The barrels are delicious, with the bourbon and cognac characteristics starring and the maple showing well enough. Lots of distinct aromas and flavors, and the base stands up to the big barrel presence.
