Honeyed sweetness over bourbon notes is better when above 65°.
Okay, but the base BA version is best.

12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 4/29/22, had 5/18/22.
Pours a cloudy, ruddy amber, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and some light foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, malt, caramel, oak, some honey as it warms, light cherries, a bit of a spicy aroma. Flavors of bourbon, oak, malt, vanilla, some caramel, light cherries, light honey as it warms. Has a bit of a spicy taste, and a light sweet note, especially on the finish. Smooth, a good medium body that’s a touch thinner than usual, appropriately carbonated.
The honey does give this a different twist, but only in adding some sweetness and thinning the base a little. It’s barrel forward, but they don’t overwhelm the base beer. While it’s not at the top of the list of Lord releases, it was still very enjoyable.

Had on tap. Was really excited as I had loved the other two LH variants I had, but woof, this needs some work. Smoky barrel and earth permeate through the sickly sweet honey, caramel, and barley in both smell and taste. Taste has some rusty metal aftertaste to it where dark fruit should be. Cloudy brown pour with a beige ring is good, mouthfeel is solid too with good wood, barley and malt textures with a touch of yeast and honey brightness, but the finish has a bitter note that is off
