12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 12/31/22, had 1/22/23.
Pours a mostly opaque dark brown, with a one and a half inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of cherry, cherry brandy, malt, vanilla, light chocolate and oak. Flavors of cherry brandy, cherry, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, some oak, Has a light tartness. Smooth, a solid medium body, appropriately carbonated.
The cherry brandy barrels have a prominent but balanced presence, and the cherry juice shows well and works surprisingly well with this. The base is solid as usual. Different. A solid effort.
