12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 10/28/22, had 4/12/23.
Pours near black and opaque, with a one and a half inch foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, malt, oak, chocolate- lots as it warms. Flavors of bourbon, chocolate, malt, vanilla, oak. Has a little bit of a floral hop taste. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
The barrels are terrific in the aroma and flavor and the chocolate and vanilla show well but aren’t prominent. They also seem to thin the feel a little. Very nice.
